Callipyge (CLPG) is a candidate gene with significant effect on meat quality and growth in sheep. The aim of this study was to investigate the polymorphism CLPG Akkaraman breed. In study, DNAs obtained from blood samples 50 sheep used as material. CLPG/Faq1 examined all individuals using method PCR-RFLP. Only A allele AA genotype were detected after PCR-RFLP procedure. This first which investigated breed, findings showed that breed has monomorphic structure terms CLPG/FaqI polymorphism.
